How did we
get here?

Christstrength got its start in
2001 with the purchase of a
pulling harness and the donation
of 200 foot of rope. The stage
was set for the Human Draft
Horse Pull a fund raiser to
help upgrade the local
YMCAs weight room.
With the addition of more
equipment and more community
support, 2002 brought more to
know of Christstrength and
allowed the YMCA to finish its
upgrade.
Over
the next year of making,
collecting and buying more
Strongman equipment, the fall of
2003 brought Xenia, Ohio its
first ever Strongman contest
promoted by what is now known as
ChriststrengthGym.
As of
this writing ChriststrengthGym is
promoting three contests a year
(the Outback SM/SW Challenge
(May), Xenia Masters (July) and
Old Fashioned Strength Challenge
(September), in conjunction with
North American
Strongman Inc. (the
governing body for Amateur SM/SW
in the United States), AHOP Church and/or the
Xenia Old
Fashioned Days Festival/Xenia
Chamber of Commerce. Interest
from the past contests reached
into the hundreds and
participation came from Latvia,
Russia, Canada, Pakistan and all
over the United States.
This
short trip hasnt made us
content with where we are at; but
has made us eager to see how far
we can take this journey
During
our travels weve been
assisted along the way by some
very outstanding companies and
individuals. Save Edge Products thank you
so much for your time, patience
and allowing me to go through
your trash; remember One
mans trash is another
mans treasure. The
